A perfectly scaled down vegetable knife for those who prefer a Japanese Santuko aesthetic to that of the more traditional utility knife.
Made for veg, while serving effortlessly as a utility blade, the Nimble Chopper is a companion for those who prefer a smaller, lighter knife. Like its larger sister the Good Chopper, the design of the blade means you can cut with a rocking action as well as a straight up and down chop. Reminding you, visually, of both a Cleaver and a Santoku, it’s as happy dealing with a mountain of potatoes as it is chiffonading your spinach.
Small in stature but not in scope, this knife will mince, chop and slice with deft precision.
This stunning example started life originally as a commission by a professional chef customer and we loved the design so much we decided to add it to our collection. The handle is made from layers of G.F Smith paper with bespoke spine work adding another level of detail to what is already a classically beautiful handle. There are two other matching knives also currently available so the only difficulty may lie in choosing between an individual knife or all three as a set!
Pre-made and ready to ship. We’ll engrave it with whatever you want for no additional charge and post it within 1 working day.
Precision engineered from the highest quality high-tech 14c28n Sandvik Swedish steel and sharpened by hand and eye for the ultimate cutting edge.
As with every Savernake Knife, the Nimble Chopper features our trademark concave hollow grind, expertly blended into a tapering convex cutting edge. This means it is both incredibly light, and easy to hone. It also allows for smoother cutting and slicing due to reduced metal passing through the ingredient, and less sticking, due to the reduced surface contact. Quite simply, the concave hollow grind is the business.
