There is no better way to discover the pleasure of a Savernake knife than to try them out and see how they are made.

Our aim is to craft knives that are loved by their owners. We ply our trade in a converted Sawmill on the edge of the eponymous forest and welcome visitors who want to purchase one of our knives, or design their own bespoke knife.

Try the range

With one of our knife makers to guide you, you can try all of the knives featured in our configurator and often some special little numbers we keep only for visitors. From the most precise paring knife to professional butcher’s cleavers (and all points in between) we’ll have a knife that’s perfect for you, and if we don’t then you can design one yourself…

Bespoke Blade Service

We offer an unparalleled custom knives experience – ranging from the simple (your choice of handle) through to creating a blade completely from scratch. In addition to chef knives, we also create one-off outdoor knives for hunters, fishers, stalkers, farmers, gardeners, survivalists and keepers.

Meet the makers

We’re making knives day-in, day-out, using a combination of high-tech machining and hand-crafting. While we don’t consider ourselves a tourist attraction, we’re always keen to show our customers how they’re knives are made, as understanding the work that goes in to making them often makes them enjoy them even more.

Secret Stash

Our website shows a good range of our designs and materials, but is merely the tip of the iceberg. Come and have a ferret around our stashes of designs and materials; from eye-popping neon castings to beautiful aged wood from around the world, if you can conceive it then there’s a very, very good chance we can make it.

By appointment only

Since we are all knife makers and we have a busy workshop, we very much prefer visits by appointment, and even then we have quite a full diary, so please do get in touch before coming to visit. We are not open at weekends unless it’s for exceptional circumstances.
